Forecasting in the liberalised energy market
|
With E-Pro, DACHS offers various methods of artificial intelligence forecasting in the short- and long-term as a service to meet the different requirements of the liberalised energy market. Because of new sourcing and marketing opportunities in the energy market, secure forecasting of electricity and gas consumption and production volumes is becoming increasingly important, as well as of price developments on the OTC or spot market with regard to the optimisation of trading strategies and evaluations. We have developed models that are tailored to the respective participants (municipal utility companies, industry, etc.) in the liberalised energy market and take into account different regional functions with regard to selective public holiday, bridging day and other special day profiles or region-specific weather conditions. Customers' in- and outgoing lines (in the case of electricity supply companies) are constantly and automatically factored in (mainly at the end of each month) by integrated artificial neural networks. The forecasting service is based on (adjusted) historic readings. On this basis, customer-specific models that analyse the consumption variables in smaller part-sequences are developed and then optimised.
